Muffins
• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 large egg
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• Zest of 1 orange
• 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Glaze
• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 2 teaspoons orange zest
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl whisk together the butter, sour cream, egg, orange juice, orange zest, and almond extract. Whisk well.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Stir with wooden spoon until combined. Fill muffin tins. Bake 16-18 minutes.
Meanwhile make glaze. Whisk powdered sugar with orange juice and orange zest. After muffins are done let them cool for 10 minutes before topping with glaze.
