Crawfish Bread

Crawfish Bread

How soon is too soon to make this again!?

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 package crawfish tails
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 package frozen peppers, onions, and celery
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Cajun seasoning to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • A few shakes of Tabasco
  • A few shakes of Worcestershire
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Mozzarella pearls (small handful)
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Slice French bread in half lengthwise and hollow out the bread to make wells in each half.  Set aside.

Melt butter in large skillet.  Sauté the frozen peppers, onions, and celery along with the garlic and crawfish tails.  Sprinkle liberally with Cajun seasoning.  Add mustard, Tabasco, Worcestershire, and mayonnaise.  Heat on low until well combined.  Drop in mozzarella pearls and cheddar cheese over evenly.  Stir only slightly.

Place bread on long pieces of foil to wrap.  Spread crawfish mixture into bread and place both halves together.  Wrap tightly in foil.  Bake 30 minutes.  Remove bread from foil, cut into slices and serve hot.
