Cheese Bread 2

A DO NOT MISS recipe!

Bread

  • 1 3/4 cup flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Topping

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a loaf pan.

In a large bowl whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  Add cheese and gently toss until cheese is completely coated. 

In a small bowl whisk the milk and egg.  Pour into dry mixture and stir until just combined.  Add in melted butter and mix well. 

Pour into loaf pan and bake for 35-45 minutes until done.  Melt butter and mix in seasonings.  When the bread is still hot from the oven, brush with seasoned butter.  Cool for a few minutes before turning out to slice.
