Starbucks Lemon Loaf

Starbucks Lemon Loaf

Absolutely heavenly.  And way better than Starbucks IMO!

Lemon Loaf:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon extract
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

 

Lemon Icing:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Directions 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a loaf pan. 

With mixer, mix sugar, eggs and sour cream.  With mixer on low pour in oil.  Mix in extracts and lemon zest. 

Whisk flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.  Combine into wet mixture just until mixed.  Pour into loaf pan and bake 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.  Cool completely.

To make the glaze whisk all ingredients together and drizzle over cooled bread.
