Mom’s Brownies

Mom’s Brownies

Simply the best.

Ingredients

• 4 eggs
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup minus 2 tablespoons of oil
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 5 tablespoons cocoa
• Hershey bar or Symphony bar, roughly chopped (optional)
• Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease either an 8x8 or 9x13 baking pan. Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl by hand. If you are adding Hershey or Symphony bar, add at this point. Pour into baking pan. Bake until done depending on what size your pan is.  Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.

This may be the most popular recipe on The Copper Whisk Facebook group.  Not only is it just as easy as boxed brownies, these are the absolute best brownies you will ever eat.  If you have not made them, try them ASAP!  I am not sure where my Mom came up with this recipe, but I’m sure glad she did!  When we were little, my grandmother would cut her edges off and then slice the brownies in tiny bite size pieces dusted so prettily with powdered sugar.  DIVINE!
