Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup baby carrots, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 rotisserie chicken, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 package cheese tortellini
- 2 cups Italian cheese
Directions
Add butter to soup pot. Melt and add onion and carrots. Cook until soft. Add garlic and cook one more minute.
Add chicken, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Sprinkle flour over. Stir well to coat for 2-3 minutes. Pour in broth, half and half and red pepper flakes. Continue cooking until the soup thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
Add tortellini. Remove pot from heat and stir in cheese.
