Sausage Hashbrown Casserole

So easy to throw together the night before!


  • 2 pounds breakfast sausage
  • 1 (30 ounce) bag frozen shredded hashbrowns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.  In a large skillet cook sausage.  Drain fat and set aside.  To the same skillet add butter and hashbrowns.  Cook until lightly brown. Spread hashbrowns in baking dish.  Top with sausage and cheese.  Whisk eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and milk.  Pour over hashbrowns.  Cover and refrigerate at this point if baking later.  Bake, uncovered, for 35-40 minutes.
