Pecan Pie Brownies

One of my most popular recipes!

Ingredients for Brownies

• 4 eggs
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup minus 2 tablespoons of oil
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 5 tablespoons cocoa
• Hershey bar or Symphony bar, roughly chopped (optional)
• Powdered sugar for dusting

Ingredients for Filling / Topping

• 1/3 cup syrup
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 4 tablespoons melted butter
• 1 bag candied pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Mix all ingredients for brownies together in large mixing bowl by hand. Pour into baking pan. Whisk ingredients for filling except for pecans. After mixing well then add pecans and stir.  Pour over brownie batter evenly.  Bake until done.  This will take around 30 minutes, maybe a little more.  Let cool before cutting into squares.
