- 12 ounces pasta of your choice
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Boil pasta according to package directions. Drain but reserve some of the pasta water.
Meanwhile cook the Italian sausage. Drain.
Once pasta is drained, return it to the pot and set on medium-high heat. Immediately pour in 1 cup of cream. Add cooked sausage. Cook, stirring often, until mixture boils and cream transforms into a sauce, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in just enough of the pasta water to loosen it up. Serve with grated Parm.
