- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons water
Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3-4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Sift together flour, salt, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, thyme and cayenne. Spread evenly into coating dish. Whisk eggs and water together in a second coating dish.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a medium sauce pan add the 2 tablespoons of olive oil and garlic. Cook over medium heat to soften the garlic but do not let it brown. Add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, remove from heat and let cool.
Season pork chops with seasoning salt and pepper. Dip meat into flour mixture first then egg mixture. Dip AGAIN into flour mixture pressing the mix into the meat to thickly cover.
Heat a skillet on the stove with a half inch of vegetable oil. Throw in 2 tablespoons of butter too. Do not turn the heat over medium. Just below medium works fine so they don’t brown too quickly. Fry them on each side 4-5 minutes. They will be golden and crispy.
Drain on wire rack for.a few minutes before dipping into the Honey Garlic Sauce.
