Sugar Cookie Base

• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 egg, room temperature
• 2 teaspoons butter vanilla emulsion (if you don’t have this just use vanilla extract)
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking powder

Pink Glaze

• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2 tablespoons milk
• Pink food coloring
• Rainbow sprinkles

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 with parchment paper.

Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Add egg, butter vanilla emulsion, and mix until combined.

Mix in flour, salt, and baking powder until flour disappears. Do not overmix.

Use a large cookie scoop to scoop your dough onto baking sheet. Use the bottom of a large drinking glass to gently press to flatten to 1/2” thickness. Bake for 10-11 minutes. Cool completely.

Once cool, use a small circle cookie cutter to cut a hole in the center to make them look like a donut. Keep the centers!

Make the glaze: whisk powdered sugar with milk. Add food coloring. Add more milk if necessary. I turned the cookies upside down in the bowl to glaze them. Also glaze the centers you kept. Add sprinkles.
