Buttermilk Biscuits

The fluffiest best biscuit you will ever eat.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup buttermilk 


Whisk dry ingredients.  Cut in shortening.  Add buttermilk.  Roll out onto floured surface and cut with drinking end of a glass.  Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
